Quick start guide

Thank you for choosing the Illumina Face Mask Pro! Follow these simple steps to begin your first session.

  1. Charge

    Fully charge the controller before first use. Unplug the controller before starting a session, as the mask will not operate while connected to power.

  2. Prep

    Start with a clean, dry face. Remove makeup and skincare products before use.

  3. Place Mask

    Position the mask on your face and adjust the top straps for a snug, secure fit.

  4. Connect Controller

    Attach the controller cord to the mask's side port. Press and hold the Power button to turn on the controller. Press the Power button to cycle through the available session modes (see the mode descriptions below).

  5. Start Session

    After selecting a mode, press Start/Pause to begin your 10-minute session:

    • Press Start/Pause anytime to pause the session.
    • The mask will power off automatically when the session ends.

  6. Clean

    Gently clean the mask after each use.

    ⚠️ Important:

    The mask will only operate when properly positioned on your face. If the mask is removed during a session, the session will automatically pause — to resume, reposition the mask on your face within 1 minute and press the Start/Pause button. When the mask is not worn, the light sources will not activate, even if the controller is powered on. This safety feature helps prevent unintended light exposure.

Choose Your Mode

For best results, use the device for 10 minutes per session, 3–5 times per week. The Illumina Face Mask Pro features 8 clinically-studied wavelengths across 5 modes:

  • Mode 1: Anti-Aging (Red + Near-Infrared) — Improves the appearance of fine lines and firmness
  • Mode 2: Clear (Red + Near-Infrared + Blue) — Reduces the appearance of blemishes and redness
  • Mode 3: Brighten (Red + Near-Infrared + Green) — Promotes a brighter, more even-looking complexion
  • Mode 4: Restore (Red + Near-Infrared + Amber + Green) — Supports a healthy-looking, revitalized appearance
  • Mode 5: All (Every Wavelength) — Activates all 8 wavelengths for all the benefits above

Getting the Most from Your Sessions

  • Use on clean, dry skin. Apply skincare after your session, as some products may limit light penetration.
  • After a day outdoors, cleanse thoroughly before your session to help support refreshed, healthy-looking skin.
