We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. At iRestore , we strive to be your one-stop shop for all of your hair care and regrowth needs!
We’ve got it all....from gummies and supplements to shampoos and serums . And all of our products are clinically proven to boost your hair’s health with essential nutrients you won’t see in most other hair care lines.
But our hair growth devices are what put us in a league of our own. If you’ve been following our blog, chances are you’re somewhat familiar with our Essential and Professional devices.
Here, we’ll take an in-depth look at what each device offers, answer some frequently asked questions, and rid you of any doubts that you might have before trying them out. HOW DO OUR DEVICES WORK?
Before we break down the differences between our devices, let’s briefly discuss exactly what they’re designed to do.
Both of our hair growth devices are designed to promote thicker, fuller hair utilizing red light therapy.
In short, red light therapy (RLT) is a treatment that helps your skin and muscle tissue heal by exposing you to low levels of red light. The light then creates heat below the skin’s surface, which increases your cells’ activity, leading to faster hair growth.
The treatment uses low levels of heat that aren’t harmful or painful and even provides wavelengths that are helpful to the skin.
It is entirely non-invasive and, get this; you can do it all from the comfort of your home! Our devices require just 25 minutes of your time every other day.
Now, we could go on for a while about red light therapy itself. But for the sake of time, check out our blog on everything you need to know about the process and why it could be a fit for you.
Alright, now to the good stuff!
Before we get started here, it’s important to note that both of our devices have lasers and LEDs and are FDA-cleared and clinically proven to reverse hair loss.
Okay, let’s start with our O.G. device, the Essential . The Essential is our first hair growth device designed to deliver optimal light energy to hair loss areas most commonly affected.
Yup, this means the top of the scalp, the hairline, and the crown of your head. So, say adios to thinning and your receding hairline!
The Essential is designed with 51 medical-grade lasers and LEDs. So, you’re not losing out on anything if you don’t see the results you expected.
It is also equipped with medical-grade cushions, which are soft on your head. The way the cushions sit on your hair allows for air to pass through so that your head can breathe and so that you don’t become hot or uncomfortable.
And at $695, it is about half the price of the Professional device, which we’re going to jump into next!
The Professional is the newest hair growth device that we offer. And with it being a new model, you’ll, of course, see some significant upgrades.
To begin with, it is more lightweight than the Essential and provides more coverage to distribute more power and light energy to your hair follicles.
It offers extended scalp coverage on the sides and back of the head. This means that along with the most common areas affected by hair loss that the Essential takes care of, it also covers hard-to-reach problem areas like the temples, sides, and the lower crown.
Compared to its counterpart, the Professional has 282 medical-grade lasers and LEDs. Yea, you read that correctly....two hundred and eighty-two!
The Professional also has a better battery life, and the battery is connected to the device via a magnet, so it works more seamlessly overall.
It comes with the same comfortable medical-grade cushions. The upgraded Professional model costs $1295, but for long-term usage that will cater to your hair needs as you require more coverage over time, this option might be the better choice for you.
Okay, now that you have a better grasp of the differences between our devices, I’m sure you have some questions to be answered before adding one to your cart.
So, we’ll hop into some of the questions that we think will help you make a final decision.
Can I use my device every day?
As mentioned earlier in the blog, our devices only require you to use them for 25 minutes every other day. It is not advised to use them every day,` and they have not proven to give you better results if you do. You don’t want to overstimulate your hair follicles, as this may harm your hair restoration process.
Check out our blog on 25 things you can do in 25 minutes while wearing your device!
How do I use the device?
It’s pretty simple. Place the device on your head. Press the START button to begin the session. Once the session is completed, it’ll automatically shut off (after 25 minutes). Repeat every other day. Voila!
Will I experience hair loss or shedding when I begin using?
It is standard for some people to see some shedding in the initial treatments of iRestore . This is due to the weaker, thinner hairs shedding so that stronger, thicker hairs can replace them.
Any hair loss you may experience in the beginning is normal and can be attributed to the stages of your hair growth.

When will I see the results?
Just like with anything in life, consistency is key. Don’t anticipate seeing visible results immediately because the low-level light is expected to improve hair conditions over time.
So, stick to it until you start noticing positive changes. You have everything to gain.
Are there any side effects?
There are no side effects of red light therapy compared to hair treatments like finasteride and minoxidil.
The FDA fully clears our devices for both safety and efficacy, and there aren’t any users who have reported negative reactions.

Is iRestore safe for home use or while traveling?
ABSOLUTELY! iRestore devices are designed for convenient use both at home and while traveling. Both devices are hands-free, and our Professional device is one of the most compact and lightweight devices on the market, weighing just 1.27 pounds. The Essential device isn’t far behind, weighing 1.34 pounds.
You also have the option to purchase a rechargeable battery pack, which allows you to walk around during treatment.
Are there age requirements?
Our devices are safe to use for people over the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please consult with a doctor prior to using iRestore .
If you’ve made it this far, just go ahead and try it out already! And if you have more questions that you don’t see answered here, check out our FAQ page for even more guidance.
