Quick start guide

Thank you for choosing the iRESTORE Apex 2160 LED Panel! Follow these steps to begin your first session. For a deeper dive on any feature, refer to your User Manual.

  1. Unbox & Lay Out

    Unpack your Apex 2160 LED Panel on a padded surface. Confirm you have all included accessories: panel, eye protection, door hook, remote control, hanging hardware, power cable, multi-panel cable, and cable assembly with snap links.

  2. Install

    Hang the panel using the included door hook (fits most standard doors). For stand setups, refer to the Stand Assembly videos below.

    • Screw the threaded posts into the top of the panel and hand-tighten with the included Allen wrench.
    • Attach the cable supports, then connect the snap links to the door hook.
    • Adjust height by pulling down on the loose cable while supporting the panel.
    ⚠️ Safety:

    The Apex 2160 weighs over 31 lbs — always support the panel securely with both hands while raising or lowering it to prevent injury or damage.

  3. Plug In & Power On

    Connect the power cable to the panel and plug into a standard outlet. Make sure the red master switch on the back of the panel is set to ON (illuminated). The startup screen will display for 1 second before entering the main menu.

    ⚡ Running multiple panels?

    If you're operating more than one Apex LED Panel unit, always switch the Low Power button on the back of the device to ON. This helps reduce power demand and prevents potential electrical overload.

  4. Put On Eye Protection

    Wear the included blackout goggles, especially when treating the head or face. Never stare directly into the LEDs during a session.

  5. Position Yourself at the Right Distance

    Stand 12–18 in. (30–45 cm) from the panel for your first sessions. Move closer only after one week, if comfortable. Maintain a minimum distance of 12 in. (30 cm) to help prevent burns.

  6. Choose Your Mode

    Select one of two ways to run your treatment:

    • Smart Mode — Tap MODES to select a preset for Skin, Pain Reduction, Sleep Support, Pet, Recovery, or Mood. Each preset has its brightness and duration pre-optimized for that goal.
    • Custom Mode — Tap CUSTOM to manually set power, timer, and pulse frequency for a fully personalized session. On the Apex 2160, you can also dial in intensity and pulse per individual wavelength. Save your favorites as Presets 1–4 for quick access later.

  7. Start Your Session

    Tap START/PAUSE to begin your treatment. The default Custom settings are RED+: 100%, NIR+: 100%, Pulse: 0 Hz, Time: 30 minutes.

    💡 Tip:

    For best results, use the panel for 20–30 minutes per session, 2–4 times per week. Use on clean, dry skin for maximum light penetration. Relax and avoid moving the panel during your session. Consistency is key — results improve with regular use.

  8. End Your Session

    The panel will automatically shut off when your timer ends. To stop early, tap START/PAUSE. To power off completely, use the red master switch on the back.

Smart Mode Quick Reference

  • Skin — 10 min at 50% brightness — Skin health & rejuvenation
  • Pain Reduction — 20 min at 100% brightness — Helps reduce muscle and joint pain
  • Sleep Support — 30 min with gradual fade (20%–0%) — Relaxation & sleep support
  • Pet — 10 min at 60% brightness — Pain relief for pets (see Pet Mode safety information in your manual)
  • Recovery — 30 min at 100% brightness — Post-exercise recovery
  • Mood — 15 min at 80% brightness — Energy, uplift & balance

Fine-Tuning Individual Wavelengths

One of the Apex 2160's most powerful features is per-wavelength control. In Custom Mode, tap the switch icon on the Power or Pulse screen to adjust each wavelength individually:
RED+ group: 590 nm, 630 nm, 660 nm
NIR+ group: 810 nm, 830 nm, 850 nm, 940 nm, 1060 nm
This lets you tailor treatments with precision — for example, emphasizing 660 nm and 850 nm for a skin-and-collagen focus, or 810 nm and 1060 nm for deeper tissue penetration. Press the switch icon again to return to the main wavelength settings screen.

Pairing Your Remote Control

  1. From the main menu on the panel, tap CUSTOM, then scroll down and tap GROUP.
  2. Select a group number on the panel (Group 1 is the default).
  3. Press the matching group number on the remote — a beep confirms successful pairing.
  4. Once paired, use the remote to power on/off, start treatments, adjust power, timer, or pulse, and switch between Smart Modes from anywhere in the room.

Mute & Rotate

Prefer a quieter setup? On the Custom screen, scroll down and tap MUTE to turn off the buzzer sound. Mounting the panel sideways or at an angle? Tap ROTATE to adjust the screen display orientation so it always reads upright.

Connecting Multiple Panels

If you own more than one Apex panel, you can link them together to share a single power source. Position the second panel directly below the lead panel, align the threaded posts with the holes in the end caps, and slide forward to lock in place. Connect the Multi-Panel Cable between both units. To control multiple panels together with one remote, assign them to the same group number.
Important: Whenever you run multiple panels, switch the Low Power button on the back of each device to ON to prevent electrical overload.

Care & Storage

  • Always unplug the panel before cleaning
  • Clean with a dry microfiber cloth, or lightly dampened with water for stubborn stains
  • For deeper cleaning, use the iRESTORE Device Cleaning Solution (sold separately)
  • Do not use harsh solvents or chemical cleaners
  • Store in a dry, room-temperature location away from sunlight, sinks, and bathrooms

The Universal Stand supports both single panels and vertically stacked configurations for full-body coverage. Height-adjustable and mobile with locking wheels. Please allow 15–20 minutes for assembly. For stacked configurations, ensure the Multi-Panel Cable is connected and the Low Power switch is turned ON for each panel.
